Job Description


The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) will oversee the delivery of dialysis and the care of patients at Puget Sound Kidney Centers (PSKC). Responsibilities include providing education to patients, supervising Dialysis Technicians, adjusting treatment plans per standing orders, monitoring patient outcomes, administering medications, participating in quality improvement projects, and collaborating with other members of the care team, including social workers, dietitians, and nephrologists. This position covers multiple clinic locations: Bremerton, Port Orchard, Poulsbo, and occasionally Port Townsend.


Responsibilities

• Oversee dialysis delivery and patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients regarding their treatment.
• Supervise and support Dialysis Technicians in delivering care.
• Adjust treatment plans according to standing orders and care plans.
• Monitor patient outcomes and administer necessary medications.
• Participate in quality improvement projects.
• Collaborate with care team members including social workers, dietitians, and nephrologists.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience is required.
• Previous dialysis experience is required.
• Prior experience in acute or ambulatory nursing is preferred.

Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the WA State Board of Nursing or Multi-State Compact Nurse license.
• Current certification of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with a Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers card from the American Heart Association.
