Job Description
X-Ray Technologist

We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to operate x-ray equipment and produce radiographs of designated body parts as ordered by physicians. This role requires strong patient interaction and technical proficiency to ensure quality imaging and patient safety.

Job Summary

The X-Ray Technologist will position and instruct patients prior to examinations, adjust x-ray equipment settings, and determine the appropriate voltage, current, and exposure time for each radiograph. This position contributes to diagnostic interpretations and plays a vital role in patient care.

Essential Functions

• Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation.
• Explain procedures to patients and address any questions or concerns.
• Prepare x-ray equipment for use as necessary.
• Set up examination rooms for patient exams.
• Accurately position patients for imaging assessments.
• Monitor patient safety throughout the examination process.
• Generate high-quality diagnostic images.
• Document exam details and provide important information to physicians.
• Verify completed exams in PACS.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred
• Licenses/Certifications:
  
  
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography (ARRT): Required
  • Radiologic Tech (RT) certification in the respective state: Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required
