Front office receptionist Treatment coordinator Dental Assistant

: We are an established periodontal office seeking an energetic and caring receptionist for the front office - dental assisting skills are a bonus, but not required. If you have sales or customer service experience, then you are encouraged to apply - experience in healthcare is not necessary! Our employees are truly appreciated and work in a positive environment. We are seeking someone for a part-time or full-time position as one of our team members is going to a part-time schedule. This position is responsible for assisting the periodontists and dental hygienists in providing dental services to patients at our private practice. Primary responsibilities include the following:

• Assisting patients and referring dental offices via phone and email
• Patient scheduling
• Patient check-in and check-out
• Patient registration
• Coordinate with referring doctors and office staff by phone and email
• Insurance authorization and verification
• Gain knowledge of periodontal therapies in order to review recommended treatment with patients effectively

Dental assisting responsibilities would be secondary and implemented as necessary if the employee fits the capabilities for the following:

• Chair-side surgical assisting and charting
• Set-up and break down rooms
• Sterilization, preparation, and inventory control of dental instruments supplies
• Proper infection control of all areas involving patient care
• Assists patients in resolving minor difficulties, answering their questions and giving directions to patients as authorized by the dentist or hygienist
• Must be able to take digital dental radiographs efficiently

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED certificate required
