This role involves managing an average of 3 patients per shift and 8 phone consults per 24 hours, with admissions varying between 1-2. The position offers ongoing coverage, starting as soon as credentialing is complete, and is open to multiple providers. Practice Info 5 beds in department Support staff includes 3 RNs EMR systems used are Ingenious Med, Athena, Cerner Responsibilities Perform general neurosurgery for adult and pediatric patients Conduct cerebrovascular procedures, including open and endovascular techniques Perform carotid or vertebral artery surgery and aneurysm clipping Manage tumors, including neuroendocrine surgery Execute stereotactic radiosurgery for functional and seizure conditions Perform VP shunt procedures and skull base surgery Conduct spinal surgery with and without instrumentation for cervical, thoracic, and lumbar regions Perform peripheral nerve surgery and pain procedures Execute endovascular procedures and placement of ICP monitors Apply external traction and manage vents Perform central line placement Benefits Top-rated malpractice insurance Full-service in-house travel agency and credentialing coordinators Shift & Schedule Coverage from 6/19 - 6/22 Ongoing coverage Beeper call only coverage, 8AM – 8PM 3-5 days per month on weekday and weekends, no clinical coverage Call response time: 20 minutes Call ratio: 1:3 Requirements Board Certified in Neurosurgery Fellowship Active North Carolina license or IMLC ACLS certification ATLS certification BLS certification ABLS certification Laser certification (specify type)
