About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Stepdown (General Medicine / Observation)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a PCU/Stepdown setting with a patient ratio of 1:4–5
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring, interpret and manage dysrhythmias, and respond to Rapid Response and Code team activations
• Administer cardiac drips (including Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, low-dose Dopamine/Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Bumex, and Lasix) without titration
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care including PICC line management
• Manage respiratory support modalities including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, CPAP, BiPAP, and non-invasive airway management
• Float within skillset as required and document all care using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia state RN license or active Compact RN license required at time of submission (pending license accepted only for candidates holding a single-state license from a non-compact state)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum experience in Telemetry, PCU, DOU, IMC, or Stepdown settings
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Competency in chest tube care, trach care, and medication administration

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with remote telemetry monitoring environments
• Familiarity with tele-sitting workflows and Patient Care Tech collaboration
• Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers also considered)
