Patient Services Receptionist
Urology Specialists of the Carolinas is one of the largest independent urology groups in the country, proudly serving patients across the Carolinas. Following the merger of three leading regional urology practices, we have become a dynamic, physician-led organization with more than 70 providers dedicated to delivering exceptional, comprehensive urologic care while preserving the values of independent, physician-driven medicine.

We are seeking a Patient Services Receptionist to join our expanding clerical team of dedicated professionals. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, detail-oriented individual with a commitment to patient care, teamwork, and clerical excellence.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing clerical duties in a medical setting, such as scheduling appointments, taking copays, deductibles and patient balances, and assisting with check-in and check-out.
- Verifying and updating demographic and insurance information; scanning identification and insurance information into EMR
- Responding to inquiries about benefits, balances, and authorizations in a timely and professional manner
- Managing provider calendars, ensuring referral or authorization requirements are met; supporting scheduling of new and follow-up patients
- Managing incoming calls and triaging messages; ensuring all staff are promptly notified of all patient arrivals, cancellations, and schedule changes
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience handling insurance verification, prior authorization, and patient collections preferred
