As an Unarmed Security Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $14.18 / Hour Job Schedule: Sat: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM Sun: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utilities location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity. Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership. Minimum Requirements: At least one year of security-related experience is required. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Loss prevention experience is preferred. Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
