Medical Assistant Certified/Procedural Scheduler - Heart and Vascular

As a Certified Medical Assistant/Procedural Scheduler in Heart & Vascular, you’ll play a critical role in supporting cardiovascular care teams—with a strong emphasis on scheduling and coordinating procedures that are essential to patient health outcomes. The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic/location of work. Required Qualifications Coursework/Training – Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants, Coursework/Training – Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, Coursework/Training – Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, Coursework/Training – Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration. Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire. National Provider BLS – American Heart Association within 30 days of hire. 6 months – Healthcare experience. 6 months – Medical Assistant experience. Preferred Qualifications National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire. 1 year of Cardiology experience. 1 year of outpatient clinic experience. 1 year of coordinating diagnostic testing.
