Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

Immediate need for a talented Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This is a 08 weeks contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Atlanta, GA (Onsite).

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel pay package to be discussed on call.
• Schedule: 10-hour day shifts (6:45am – 5:15pm) – call, weekends, and holidays required; no block scheduling
• Duration: 8 weeks (06/15/2026 – 08/08/2026)
• Expected Hours by Facility: 40 hours per week
• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiovascular and endovascular surgeries.
• Assist surgical team with complex cardiac and vascular cases including CABG, valve repairs/replacements, aortic procedures, and endovascular interventions.
• Maintain sterile field, anticipate surgeon needs, and manage surgical instrumentation and supplies.
• Administer medications, monitor hemodynamics, and manage patient positioning and skin prep.
• Participate in on-call rotation, weekends, and holidays as scheduled (no block scheduling).
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, perfusionists, surgeons, and OR staff for seamless care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR.
• Respond to emergency situations with speed and precision in a Level 1 trauma setting.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Must have skills: Registered Nurse, RN, Cardiovascular Operating Room, CVOR, Level 1 Trauma, Travel Experience, Endovascular.
• Active RN License (GA or Compact State)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Prior travel experience in a large Level 1 trauma facility – must be noted within work history (required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience with strong cardiovascular/endovascular skills
• High ratings on all areas of skills checklist
• Ability to work 10 hour day shifts (6:45am – 5:15pm), 40 expected hours per week
• Must be available for call, weekends, and holidays – no block scheduling
• Both local and travel candidates considered – local candidates eligible to apply

• Proficiency in cardiovascular and endovascular surgical procedures
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, and OR workflow
• Excellent critical thinking and rapid decision making in high stress situations
• Strong communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary surgical teams
• Ability to take call and work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
