Travel Bone Marrow Transplant/Oncology RN - $2,138 per week

Job Description MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Bone Marrow Transplant for a travel nursing assignment in Austin, Texas. Responsibilities Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Nurses manage patients either preparing for or recovering from a bone marrow transplant that are highly immunosuppressed and very susceptible to infection. Perform nursing assessment and lab evaluation on all treatment patients. Review patient labs to determine if values are within accepted parameters for treatment. Possess an in-depth knowledge of oncology and/or blood and marrow transplantation, chemotherapy and biotherapy treatment regimens, medications and blood products used to care for these complex patients. Know the uses, standard dose, high dose, functions, side effects and management/administration requirements of chemotherapy and biotherapy regimens. Elicit pertinent information concerning treatment and any treatment‑related side effects.
