Position Description:

\n

We are currently seeking a Senior Development Manager to join the Foundry Commercial Development and Investment team with a focus on Senior Living assets. The expectation is for the Senior Development Manager to partner with the Development and Investment team, as well as the larger Development Management team to assist in the evaluation, pitching and proposal generation of owner representative services for the execution of real estate projects. These projects vary in scope and size.

The proficiency to manage a wide array of clients and projects executing simultaneously while still communicating effectively is key.

The Senior Development Manager is expected to be comfortable in a presentation as well as be able to proficiently execute multiple projects. Experience level should be approximately seven (7-10) years of experience with a focus on Senior Living development, acquisitions, and construction, general and site contracting and/or experience in a civil engineer or consultant type role as well as proficient in the real estate development processes, including but not limited to: site selection/review, zoning verification, geotechnical evaluation, environmental evaluation, entitlements, site plan review, budgeting, scheduling, construction document understanding, and construction oversight.

Our existing Healthcare real estate and operating platform combines in-depth sector knowledge and operating expertise in the Seniors Housing real estate. Additionally, Foundry has 440+ commercial real estate associates and 4,800 + healthcare associates and represents some of the best-known names in Real Estate. Our senior living management company encompasses 68 communities in 15 states. We manage approximately 5,500 senior living units for some of the most sophisticated equity partners in the space. We are expanding the size of our portfolio of managed communities through both acquisitions and development to address the needs of the aging population, a trend expected to continue for several decades. **This position may be based in any of Foundry Commercial's office locations.**

Essential Job Functions:

• Manages all phases of project development process including managing the pre-development process, entitlements, design, construction, occupancy, quality control, staffing, and budget management
\n
• Ability to communicate effectively and partner with consultants, brokers, vendors, design professionals and contractors
\n
• Interfaces with operations teams to define project requirements
\n
• Establishes project work plan and deadlines
\n
• Creates persuasive presentations that meet the project’s objectives
\n
• Tracks progress of projects against goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets, and generates reports on status
\n
• Monitors expenses to ensure they fall within the prescribed budget
\n
• Manages all facets of project design, construction, and occupancy
\n
• Manages project team by providing direction and leadership
\n
• Facilitates client meetings regarding project matters
\n
• Works closely with other functional areas of the organization, project contractors, consultants, internal team members, external collaborators, customers and suppliers

Education and Experience Requested:

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) and a minimum of seven (7-10) years of related experience and/or training with a strong focus on senior living. Experience in multifamily developments is also valued.
\n
• Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents as well as construction documents
\n
• Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues
\n
• Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style
\n
• Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups
\n
• Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with employees and client groups to take desired action
\n
• Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles.
\n
• Able to forecast and prepare budgets.
\n
• Prepares and manages departmental budget.
