Welcome Center Associate (Part-time)

Welcome Center Associate (Part‑time) Location: Augusta - 015 Pay: $18.00 – $27.00 per hour; limited to 1500 hours within a 12‑month period (May1–April30). Work Schedule: 8:15 a.m.–3:00 p.m., Monday–Friday; estimated 30 hours per week with some flexible scheduling options. Responsibilities Support prospective students throughout the admissions and onboarding process by phone, email, in person, and via Zoom. Assist current students with scheduling advising appointments and navigating course registration through the same communication channels. Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate resource or office. Evening and weekend recruitment events may be required on occasion. Qualifications Demonstrated ability to interface with technology. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Experience in customer relations in a professional setting. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and constituencies to assist prospective students. Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing tasks, attention to detail, and record‑keeping. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Additional Qualifications Experience working in college admissions and/or marketing. Experience in higher education outreach or other student services related fields. Relevant education, experience and/or training. Additional Information May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor. No benefits.
