Cardiology Advanced Practice ProviderAllina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute is seeking a general Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider to join the practice based in our Shakopee & Edina clinics.Key Position Details:10-hour shifts, 4 days a weekTypical clinic hoursNo weekend, holidays or on call rotationStrong cardiology experience is preferred!Job Description:Principle Responsibilities:Completes comprehensive patient assessmentsDetermines diagnosis and treatment of illnessOrders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physicianPrescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipmentConducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness careRequired Qualifications:Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant programPreferred Qualifications:New graduates may be considered. Prefer a minimum of 2 years experience in cardiology or ICULicenses/Certifications:Master's degree completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program requiredCertification as a Physician Assistant - NCCPA -National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants upon hire required or Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) - American Nurse Credentialing Center or (AANP) American Association for Nurse Practitioners required upon hireLicensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP candidates)Active MN & WI NP/PA license (or ability to obtain).BLS certification required with in 180 days of hire.Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges.Physical Demands:Medium Work*:Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequentlyPay RangePay Range: $56.48 to $78.15 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
