Platte Canyon School District RE 1 Human Resources Job Description TITLE: Nutrition Services WorkerContract Length: 153 days REPORTS TO: Director of Nutrition Services MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Work Year: August-July 153 days per year, 5 hours per day (4-day week). Salary: Initial placement on the Classified Salary Schedule, column is at the discretion of the Superintendent. Salary is an hourly rate based on placement on the schedule. Up to ten (10) years credit for previous experience in a comparable position may be allowed.
Benefits: Eligible for PERA Retirement Plan Sick/personal leave days earned at 1 day for every 18 days worked Licensed Emergency Leave Bank
Full-time employees are eligible for the District Benefits Package (Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance) Free employee access to District indoor swimming pool and workout area Employee Bonus Program ADDITIONAL JOB CONSIDERATIONS: Necessary travel throughout the District requires the use of a private vehicle and Colorado Driver's License. Work outside of regularly scheduled hours may be required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities. Work may need to be performed in narrow, poorly lighted, confined spaces. TOBACCO-FREE, DRUG-FREE, AND ALCOHOL- FREE SCHOOLS Smoking, chewing, or any other use of any tobacco products by staff, students, and members of the public is banned on school property in accordance with Platte Canyon School District Policy KFA. All illicit drugs, controlled substances and alcohol are banned from School District Property in accordance with Platte Canyon School District Policy GBEC. - High School diploma or equivalent.
- "Clear" background checks through submission of fingerprint card to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, FBI and BIS Background Services.
- Ability to read basic operating instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to lift minimum of 50 pounds.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with staff and administration.
- First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Demonstrate acceptable quantity and quality of work (e.g. neatness, thoroughness, accuracy, dependability and promptness)
- Perform Cashiering, Inventory, and checking in orders.
- Arrange for proper storage of food supplies.
- Maintain the highest standards of safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Report immediately to the Director of Nutrition Services any problem or accident which occurs.
- Perform other reasonable duties as specified and directed by the Director of Nutrition Services.
- Routine duties assigned which are not covered in this job description are to be documented in a memorandum.
