Senior Java/AWS Developer

Salary: $145,600 - 156,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• At least 9 years of Java/J2EE development experience focused on enterprise applications
• Expert-level Java programming skills, including Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Security
• Extensive experience with AWS services and a strong understanding of cloud-native architectures
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
• Expertise designing, developing, and consuming RESTful and SOAP web services
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, design patterns, and best practices
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and DynamoDB
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems such as Git, and agile methodologies
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex enterprise applications using Java/J2EE
• Architect and build solutions using AWS services, including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, and API Gateway
• Create and maintain Terraform code to provision and manage AWS resources
• Develop and consume RESTful web services with a focus on performance, security, and scalability
• Provide technical leadership and guide development teams in software practices, code quality, and architecture
• Work with product owners, architects, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and turn them into development plans
• Review code, mentor junior engineers, and encourage continuous learning and improvement
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues to maintain production system stability and performance
• Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends, and assess tools and practices that could improve development processes

We at CBTS are seeking a Senior Backend Java/J2EE/AWS Developer to provide technical leadership and expertise in building robust, scalable, and secure enterprise applications. This is a six-month contract with multiple renewal opportunities, based onsite five days a week in Cincinnati, Ohio 45202.
