We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to support Release of Information (ROI) requests at a client site. This role involves processing requests for patient medical records accurately and efficiently while following HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Train and work on-site as needed
• Respond to phone calls, walk-ins, and physician office requests for medical records
• Log and process medical record requests in the database
• Review requests and release records according to HIPAA and facility policies
• Scan and maintain records in the database
• Handle and record cash payments at certain sites, if required
• Escalate any issues that delay the release of records
• Follow all site policies, procedures, and regulations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in Release of Information or medical records processing required
• Proficient with computers and data entry; internet experience required
• Flu and Covid vaccines required
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
• Detail-oriented and dependable
• Knowledge of HIPAA and medical terminology preferred

Job Details:

• Full Time: M-F
• Pay: $17.00-$19.00
• Location: On-site
