A growing Charlotte law firm with a strong team culture and excellent benefits is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of plaintiff's personal injury litigation experience , preferably in North Carolina and/or South Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and manage all aspects of cases in litigation

• Draft and file complaints and related legal documents

• Handle all aspects of discovery

• Maintain litigation calendars and coordinate scheduling

• Assist with motion, arbitration, mediation, and trial preparation

• Prepare written and medical summaries

• Prepare and maintain trial notebooks

• Communicate professionally and effectively with clients

• Handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion

• Collaborate with attorneys and other team members to keep cases moving efficiently

Qualifications

• 3+ years of plaintiff's personal injury litigation experience

• Significant North Carolina and/or South Carolina plaintiff's personal injury litigation experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Excellent time-management and self-management abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong judgment, initiative, and discretion

• Ability to resolve conflicts and demonstrate empathy when working with clients

• Ability to accomplish results and meet goals

• Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced litigation environment

• Above-average typing skills (50+ words per minute )

Compensation & Benefits

• $67,500-$75,500 annual salary , depending on experience

• $3,000 signing bonus for candidates not hired through a staffing agency
