Pediatric Neuropsychologist – $115K–$250K+ Potential | Pasadena, CA

Role Overview
Join a collaborative pediatric practice as a Pediatric Neuropsychologist focused primarily on comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for children and adolescents ages 3–18.
This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys assessment but also values understanding the whole child and family system . Evaluations consider cognitive and academic functioning alongside family dynamics, relationships, sensory needs, educational environments, and emotional well-being.
The practice takes an interdisciplinary approach, collaborating closely with speech, occupational therapy, mental health, educational therapy, and other providers.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: Approximately $115k+
- Typical total compensation: $115,000 with a lower full-time caseload
- High-volume earning potential: $250,000+ possible

What Makes This Role Stand Out
- Pediatric-focused assessment: Evaluate children and adolescents with presentations including ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and other learning disorders.
- Relational approach: Look beyond test scores to understand family systems, attachment, peer relationships, sensory differences, and the child's broader environment.
- True interdisciplinary collaboration: Work alongside neuropsychology, speech, OT, mental health, educational therapy, and other specialists.
- Clinical flexibility: Assessment is the primary focus, with opportunities to incorporate therapy, parent coaching, school consultation, and follow-up care.
- Strong clinical support: Collaborate with the assessment division director and other neuropsychologists through case consultation, team meetings, trainings, and ongoing support.
- Meaningful recommendations: Create individualized plans that connect assessment findings to practical educational, family, therapeutic, and clinical recommendations.
- Flexible schedule: Clinicians generally work approximately 9:30/10:00 AM–4:30/5:00 PM. Weekend work is optional if a candidate desires.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive pediatric neuropsychological evaluations.
- Write detailed evaluation reports.
- Provide diagnostic impressions and recommendations.
- Consult with parents, teachers, schools, therapists, and outside specialists.
- Coordinate recommendations with in-house treatment providers when appropriate.
- Participate in occasional school meetings, parent coaching, follow-up visits, or therapy based on clinical interest.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure assessment findings translate into meaningful treatment and educational support.
Qualifications
Required: PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology
- Specialized training in pediatric neuropsychology
- Pediatric-focused or lifespan neuropsychology training with a strong pediatric emphasis
- Two years of neuropsychology-focused postdoctoral fellowship training required
- Internship and postdoctoral training consistent with Houston Conference guidelines and Minnesota Conference Guidelines
- APA-accredited internship and postdoctoral training
- California licensure or active progress toward California licensure
- Openness to incorporating a family systems and relational perspective into assessment
Preferred:
- Understanding of OT and sensory differences
- Experience with play-based or child-led approaches
- Interest in therapy or parent coaching
Hiring Timeline
Immediate need. The team is prepared to move quickly with qualified candidates.
Second-year postdoctoral candidates who are expected to complete training and pursue California licensure in the coming months may also be considered.
