Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer - Sonography/Ultrasound

American Traveler is hiring an Echocardiography Sonographer with a minimum of 2 years experience in adult and pediatric echo, requiring RDCS and RCS credentials.

Job Details

• Ultrasound department performing echocardiography procedures,
• Patient population includes adult and pediatric patients, newborn to 99 years,
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday-Sunday, with rotating weekend coverage,
• Scheduled 40 hours per week with rotating on-call for weeknights (4:30 PM-7:00 AM) and weekends (Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM-7:00 AM),
• Shift start time of 7:00, 7:30, or 8:00 AM depending on experience with procedures and OR,
• Uses Epic and Charge Healthcare Cardiology EMR systems,
• Float required to units within competencies,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in Adult and Pediatric echocardiography,
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred,
• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) and RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) credentials required at time of submission,
• License required if applicable,
• Experience performing Transthoracic pediatric echo and Adult TEE/TTE,
• Preferred additional skills include IV starts, bubble studies and contrast, TEE probe manipulation, and intra-op structural heart procedures,

Additional Information

• Conduct educational and in-service training related to echocardiography,
• Perform various echocardiography procedures with proper charting, filing, and inventory maintenance,
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities,
• Charcoal grey scrubs required, no joggers,
• Accepts local candidates,
• Candidates must not have worked perm/per diem at this facility within the last 12 months,
