Mechanical Engineer

The QTI Group is partnering with a Wisconsin manufacturer to hire a new Mechanical Engineer . Join a growing engineering team developing cutting-edge products that are used in the industrial automation, aerospace, defense, and other mission-critical applications. The Mechanical Engineer will support the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of highly engineered products. Responsibilities Design, modify, and maintain mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks. Develop engineering drawings, bills of materials, and supporting technical documentation. Support projects through the full product lifecycle, from concept and prototyping through testing, manufacturing, and production. Collaborate with manufacturing teams, machine shop personnel, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to optimize product performance and manufacturability. Conduct product testing, analyze data, and implement design improvements. Troubleshoot product and production challenges and develop practical engineering solutions. Create work instructions and documentation to support manufacturing and assembly processes. Manage project priorities, schedules, and deliverables to meet customer and business objectives. Contribute to the development of next-generation products and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide technical support to departments including Production, Purchasing, Sales, and Operations as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. 4+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, including product design and development. Demonstrated proficiency with SolidWorks required. Understanding of manufacturing processes, machining methods, mechanical assemblies, tolerances, and engineering documentation. Experience working with tight-tolerance designs, multi-part assemblies, and GD&T is highly valued. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance design, testing, and manufacturing considerations. Experience with rotating mechanical systems, bearings, seals, O-rings, product validation, materials selection, or machining equipment is preferred. Basic understanding of electrical principles is a plus. Demonstrated passion for engineering through hands-on projects, product development, robotics, or similar activities is encouraged.
