Student Nutrition Assistant
Mill Valley High School 2026-2027 School Year
Shift Hours: 6 hours per day, 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Position Function (include but are not limited to the following):
- Prepares foods from recipes or instructions, cleans, and properly stores equipment.
- Observes health and sanitation regulations.
- Attend the Food Safety Basics Class as required.
- Receives, unpacks, stores and rotates food and supply stocks.
- Serves food to students and staff.
- Washes, and sanitizes dishes, serving areas, coolers, preparation surfaces and equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Student Nutrition Kitchen Manager.
Working Conditions:
- Able to work harmoniously with others.
- Requires standing for long periods of time.
- Must pass standardized strength & agility testing requiring lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Completion of Food Basics Safety Class within 2 months of hire.
- Maintains high standards of sanitation and personal cleanliness.
- Have reliable references
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Starting Salary: $15.60/hour - commensurate with experience
Anticipated Start date : August 14th, 2026

Requirements:
- All employees must have a current TB test (Tuberculosis). If you've had a recent TB Test (less than 12 months ago) we can accept a copy of your test results. If it's been more than 1 year ago, you will be required to obtain a new test. Employees are responsible for the cost of the test.
- Must pass standardized strength & agility testing requiring lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Must submit pre employment physical prior to first day of work
