Nights Maintenance Technician

The role The Maintenance Team is looking to fill the role of Nights Maintenance Technician in their Shelbyville, Kentucky facility. Position Title: Nights Maintenance Technician Location: Shelbyville, Kentucky The successful candidate will:

• Performs preventative maintenance.
• Will respond to daily priorities within the maintenance department.
• Identifies potential equipment problems and corrects them.
• Maintains the equipment in a manner so as not to impede the production process.
• Prepares plant equipment and facilities for production.
• Responds to equipment failures or facilities problems in a timely and professional manner. • Informs manager or lead when critical replacement parts are used from inventory.
• Troubleshoots equipment and recommends corrective action.
• Identifies equipment problems in a timely and accurate manner.
• Implement contingency plans for keeping production running.
• Maintains work areas to keep them free of trip hazards and other safety issues.
• Ensures tools and auxiliary equipment are returned to their proper place after a job or project is completed or after a mold change is complete.
• Clean the machinery as necessary.
• Comply with safety standards.
• Lock out/tag out procedures are always followed.
• OSHA safety standards are always complied with.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Associate degree in Maintenance Technician or related desired. (Related work experience can be substituted for educational requirements.)
• 5+ years of experience in Injection Mold design and processing, preferably in the plastics industry. • Ability to work with a variety of outside contractors. Essential experience and skills:
• Experience as a Maintenance Technician in the plastics industry preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Must be able to work at heights.

• Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift to 75 pounds required.
• Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and work boots.
• Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
• Must be flexible and adaptable to a changing environment.
• Minimal travel required.
