Package Handler

Our client in shipping and receiving Ecommerce seeking Package Handlers to join their team. As a Package Handler, you will be part of the Domestic Mail Processing team supporting daily sorting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, the ability to follow established procedures, and the drive to meet production expectations which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Package Handler

Location: West Jordan, UT

Pay Range: $20..50 - $21.50 depending on shift ,

Includes $3 Peak incentive hourly through Nov15th -Dec 26,

decreased after if assignment continues past Dec 26

Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM is $17.50 +$3 peak pay

3:30 PM - 10:30 PM $18 + $3 peak pay ;

10:30 PM - 2:30 AM $18.50 +3 Peak pay.

(days of the week vary - will review available schedules )

What's the Job?

• Perform domestic United States mail processing to ensure mail is correctly sorted, clearly printed, and labeled accurately.
• Sort all mail by sort area requirements and in accordance with company quality process standards.
• Inspect each piece of mail to ensure indicia are affixed correctly and the zip code matches the address zip code.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and follow all sorting procedures.
• Meet sorting production quota standards while working efficiently as part of a team; duties may include reassignment to alternate operational areas as business needs require.

What's Needed?

• Ability to understand and carry out oral instructions.
• Ability to sort alphabetically and numerically.
• Ability to work under pressure and rapidly for long periods of time.
• Ability to reach overhead, squat, bend, or kneel most of the work shift, and transport mail using a pallet jack.
• Understand standardized math processes (e.g., count, addition, subtraction).
