Job Title: Locum - Physician - Wound Care


We are seeking a qualified Wound Care Physician to provide locum coverage in an outpatient clinic setting. The position offers an excellent opportunity to fill a temporary gap until a permanent hire is made.


Position Details:

• Start Date: 12/08/2025
• Coverage Dates: 12/22/2025 - 03/31/2026
• Hourly Pay Rate: $0.00 (This indicates that the pay rate is to be determined or available upon inquiry)
• Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic
• Patient Volume: 15-30 patients per day
• Documentation System: Epic
• Trauma Level/Designation: Not designated

Key Responsibilities:

• Treat skin reactions, prevent skin breakdown
• Manage vascular, pressure, and diabetic ulcers
• Initiate preventative measures and provide comprehensive wound management
• Apply topical therapies and educate patients and support persons on care techniques
• Assess and treat draining wounds and fistulae
• Implement preventative actions to reduce incidences of pressure and vascular ulcers
• Instruct patients on proper wound dressing techniques
• Supervise hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT)
• Manage various types of wounds including acute, traumatic, surgical, and chronic wounds such as ulcers, gangrene, radiation injuries, and burns
• Utilize treatments such as bioengineered skin, debridement, skin grafting, negative pressure-assisted wound closure, and Unna boots

Additional Information:

• Credentialing is estimated to be straightforward with potential for temporary privileges
• Facility reimburses for flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage at the IRS standard rate
