Job Title: Endoscopy RN Profession: RN Specialty: Gastroenterology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 3 years License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Intraprocedure technical experience Gastroenterology experience Description: Candidates must be able to clear and start within 10 days to be eligible for the rapid rate. This facility is a 198 bed, level III trauma center that provides healthcare services to the surrounding region. Services include medical, surgical, and rehabilitation. The hospital also includes a childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, inpatient behavioral health unit, day surgery center, and extensive imaging and lab testing services. The facility has been recognized for its accreditations and aesthetic appeal. Located in a scenic valley, the area features numerous recreational opportunities including lakes, rivers, and parks. There are many attractions available such as hiking, kayaking, and historical sightseeing. This is an affordable and welcoming community for travelers. Unit Profile: Facility Department: Endoscopy Trauma Level: III (Perform Level I and II procedures except for Open Hearts) Role: RN Position Information: Number of Openings: 3 Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40 Weekend Hours: On call Call Requirements: Weekend and evenings Required Experience and Certifications: Must have intra procedural level and gastro experience. Must have at least a 3.2 overall rating on skills checklist. Endoscopy RNs are required to have a deep skill set, including critical actions such as biopsy, balloon dilatation, therapeutic injection, polyp raising, foreign body retrieval, and various ERCP techniques. Non-critical actions include the ability to assist team members, troubleshoot equipment, and describe steps to support others in their roles. This position involves caring for adult patients with mid to high acuity in a 7-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:2 and utilizes Olympus equipment. Experience in procedural tech is necessary.
