Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid - 80% remote, local candidates only)
Contract to Hire
We are seeking a versatile IT & Data Business Analyst to support high-impact technology and data initiatives within a human services environment. This role serves as the bridge between business operations, program stakeholders, and technical delivery teams, helping translate program requirements into scalable system, data, and process solutions.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of core business analysis, hands-on SQL data querying, and Salesforce implementation support.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with program stakeholders, IT leadership, developers, and data teams to gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, process flow diagrams, acceptance criteria, and system documentation.
- Write and execute hands-on SQL queries to analyze, reconcile, and validate data across disparate databases and enterprise systems.
- Support Salesforce platform initiatives by gathering requirements, analyzing workflows, validating configurations, and assisting with UAT and deployment.
- Assist with data mapping, data quality analysis, reporting, system integrations, and migration activities.
- Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), defect tracking, and production release validation.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, IT Analyst, or similar role supporting enterprise technology initiatives.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience writing and executing SQL queries for data analysis, validation, and reconciliation.
- Proven experience working with Salesforce as a Business Analyst or supporting Salesforce enhancements and implementations.
- Strong expertise in requirements gathering, business process mapping, gap analysis, and stakeholder management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting system modernization, digital transformation, or legacy migration projects within human services.
- Direct experience with data mapping, data migration, or automated data reconciliation.
- Experience operating within Agile/Scrum frameworks (user story creation, backlog refinement, sprint planning).
- Formal Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Business Analyst) or advanced Salesforce administrative exposure.
Work Location & Schedule
- Local Phoenix, AZ candidates only.
- Hybrid Model: Expectation is approximately 80% remote, with periodic on-site requirements in Phoenix as needed based on project demands.
