Phlebotomist IIWe are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II to join our team in Gallatin, TN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens, processing samples for laboratory testing, and delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. Candidates must have extensive pediatric phlebotomy experience. Experience working with pediatric patients is a mandatory requirement for this position.Key Responsibilities:Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.Ensure accurate specimen collection, labeling, processing, and preparation for laboratory testing.Verify patient identity and demographic information prior to specimen collection.Obtain patient initials/signatures following venipuncture to verify specimen labeling accuracy.Maintain accurate documentation and required records.Follow established safety, infection control, and quality assurance procedures.Provide professional, compassionate patient care while explaining collection procedures.Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines.Support operations in Patient Service Centers (PSC) and physician office locations as needed.Work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including:Pediatric collections (extensive pediatric experience required)Geriatric collectionsCapillary collectionsStrong venipuncture and specimen processing skills.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Basic computer and data entry skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.Preferred Qualifications:Medical Assistant or Paramedic training.Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required only where mandated by state law).Two years of experience in a Patient Service Center (PSC).Previous customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service environment.Additional Information:Extensive pediatric phlebotomy experience is required.Training location may vary based on trainer availability.Reliable transportation may be required for coverage at multiple patient service locations.Overtime or schedule flexibility may be required based on business needs.
