Description

American Traveler is hiring a Critical Care Float Pool RN for a day-shift travel assignment requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and an active NY RN license.

Details

• Critical Care Float Pool unit covering ICU areas including MICU, Neuro, and SICU
• 13-week assignment on day shift, 07:00-19:30
• No blocked scheduling permitted

Requirements

• Active NYS RN license required at time of consideration
• 2 years of recent specialty experience required
• BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Minimum 1 professional reference within the past year from a supervisor or manager (charge nurse references not accepted)
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required (Canadian SIN not accepted)
• Must complete ICU competency testing with up to 2 attempts to pass
• Applicants with less than 2 years of med-surg experience must pass MS competency testing with up to 2 attempts

Additional Information

• Float across critical care units as needed based on facility demand
• Facility accepts only medical flu vaccine exemptions signed by a licensed professional; personal or religious declinations are not accepted
• No more than 3 call-outs allowed within the 13-week contract period, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• RTO must be requested at time of consideration
• Travel pairs are not accepted for this position
• Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible for consideration
