Position Summary The Director, Software Engineering leads the execution and delivery of complex software and AI/ML systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with strategic objectives. This role oversees the full development lifecycle, champions DevOps practices, and drives cloud cost optimization to enhance engineering efficiency. The Director requires strong leadership to build and mentor high‑performing teams, manage cross‑functional collaboration, and align roadmaps with business priorities. What you'll do Lead execution of complex software, data, and AI/ML systems ensuring reliability, scalability, and integration across platforms. Oversee full software development lifecycle, championing DevOps practices and cloud cost optimization to enhance system performance and efficiency. Collaborate with product and data teams to deliver AI‑enabled features and autonomous agentic systems. Manage engineering dependencies, align roadmaps with organizational priorities, and drive backlog prioritization and capacity planning. Build and mentor high‑performing teams, fostering professional growth and sustaining talent pipelines. Drive continuous improvement through innovation, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement. Ensure technical ownership, quality standards, and timely delivery of solutions. What you'll bring Proven leadership in managing complex software engineering projects and cross‑functional teams. Expertise in software development lifecycle, including architecture, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Strong proficiency in DevOps practices, cloud cost optimization, and system reliability. Experience integrating AI/ML technologies and agentic systems within software platforms. Skilled in stakeholder management, project planning, and aligning technology roadmaps with business goals. Ability to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and operational efficiency. Demonstrated capacity to mentor and develop high‑performing engineering teams. Excellent technical judgment and adaptability to evolving technologies and business needs. Compensation The annual salary range for this position is $169,000.00 - $338,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include stock. Minimum Qualifications Option1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area. Option2: 8 years’ experience in software engineering or related area. 3 years' supervisory experience.
