Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:00 - 16:30 Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: 2+ years License: RN Certifications: RN, RRT or RCIS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Diagnostic and interventional procedures Description: IR experience required. Occasional IR procedures include vascular embolization, ports, vascular stenting, and nephrostomy tube placements. The unit profile consists of a Cath Lab with 90 beds. Patient ratios maintain quality care standards. Equipment includes GE for fluoroscopy and a transition to a new system for hemodynamics. The electronic health record system in use is Cerner. The patient population includes adults. The work environment promotes a team-oriented atmosphere. Required skill set includes knowledge of manifold, IVUS, FFR, IVL, IMPELLA, IABP, and pre/post unit care. Common diagnoses and treatments focus on CAD (coronary artery disease).
