As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Communication in Bronx, NY , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $17.85 - $18.35 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeFri04:00 PM - 12:00 AM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location. Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, buildings, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns. Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing authorized personnel and vehicles, and documenting visitor, driver, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating observations and coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed. Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs while maintaining a professional presence and following Allied Universal and site‑specific requirements. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience. Access control and badge experience is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
