About the Position

Job Title: Infusion Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years of infusion experience required License: Must possess a valid state nursing license Certifications: BLS and ONS/ONCC Chemo preferred Must-Have: - 2 years of infusion experience - Oncology experience preferred - Experience with IV therapy and chemotherapy administration Description: MUST PROVIDE INTERVIEW AVAILABILITY IN EST FOR THE NEXT TWO BUSINESS DAYS. Candidacy is contingent upon nursing education availability. Local candidates are defined as those within 75 miles of the facility. Responsibilities include working in infusion centers and outpatient oncology settings. Tasks involve the administration of chemotherapy and handling body fluids post-chemotherapy. IV push administration of chemotherapy and intravenous therapy/infusions are required. Duties also include administration of blood and blood products. Candidates will be responsible for the care and management of ports and infusion pump management. Intravenous hydration and administration of medications such as antifungals, antivirals, and antibiotics are part of the role. Candidates must have experience in starting and maintaining IVs. References are required showing prior supervisory clinical experience. Preferably, candidates should have external travel experience within the nursing field. Individual assessments will take place to ensure competency in the specified skills. Applications may be subject to compliance standards.
