This role is also eligible for SCs annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria./ppSCs Finance Accounting (FA) organization is responsible for the maintenance, analysis, and reporting of accounting and financial information, along with safeguarding the companys assets. In this job, you will play a key role in our FA team supporting our Production Operations business partners. The work associated with this job includes providing support through analysis of inventory, product costing, Oracle systems support, and financial analysis. In this role, you will report to the Manager-Cost Accounting./ppKey Responsibilities/pulliAnalyze cost trends and gross margin performance, identify and resolve anomalies, and develop reports that clearly communicate significant variances and insights to stakeholders./liliEvaluate the costs of existing and proposed products to identify trends and drivers and recommend actions to improve product profitability./liliAssess inventory levels, production costs, overhead, and operational expenses to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost optimization./liliAssist with the annual physical inventory cycle count programs./liliMaintain, generate, and analyze periodic inventory reports./liliAnalyze inventory, production costs, overhead, and operational expenses to identify trends and recommend improvements./liliSupport budgets and financial forecasts./liliPerform month-end close activities, including analysis of accounts and preparation of journal entries./liliProvide financial guidance to the Production Operations group on cost accounting questions and issues./liliAnalyze data discrepancies and assist with identifying corrective action and process improvements./liliDevelop and prepare account reconciliations, annual audit work papers and assist with auditor inquiries./liliPlay a key role in the improvement of financial processes, reporting, and enhanced use of financial and ERP systems./liliSupport general ad hoc analysis and manufacturing transaction problem resolutions./liliUnderstand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules/liliMaintain regular and punctual attendance./liliAttend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or required./liliCommunicate effectively and respectfully with others./liliUnderstand and comply with all applicable company policies and rules./li/ulpWhat Youll Need to Succeed/pulliA bachelors degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience/liliAbility to gather and analyze detailed financial data resulting in recommendations to business leaders./liliExcellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work with various stakeholders and cross functional project teams./liliDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment./liliStrong computer skills: Excel, Word, Oracle ERP/liliCost accounting experience/li/ulpPreferred/pulliPower BI and/or Power Automate Experience/liliManufacturing Experience/liliCPA or CMA/liliA masters degree in accounting or finance/li/ulpSC Electric is committed to equal-opportunity employment.
