Rheumatology Physician Opportunity

A leading medical group is seeking a Rheumatology Physician to work in Findlay, OH. This is a wonderful town of 42k people, located 1.5 hours south of Detroit and 40 minutes from Toledo. The group is committed to providing the best and safest care, while creating a warm, inviting environment for their patients, family members, and caregivers. They have innovative staff and treatment modalities and wonderful teamwork that is focused on patient safety. One of the largest employers in the area with more than 3,000 associates and serves an eight-county area that includes Hancock, Allen, Putnam, Henry, Wood, Seneca, Wyandot, and Hardin Counties. The hospital is a 150 bed, Level III Trauma Center and is close to Detroit and Toledo. The group has new facilities, high retention, and physician autonomy.

Benefits and Features:

• Base Salary: $300,000 $350,000/year (guaranteed and continues beyond the initial 2-year contract)
• Bonus: Quality + Production bonuses paid quarterly at $62 per wRVU (uncapped)
• Total Compensation: Typically $400,000 $500,000/year
• Avg wRVU per visit: 2.16 (at MGMA national benchmark)
• Sign-On Bonus: $50,000
• Relocation: $10,000
• CME: $5,000/year
• Loan Support: Available during or after training (monthly, quarterly, or annual options)

Job/Practice Description:

Our full-time rheumatologist is leaving to pursue private practice with his spouse, so this need is dire. Location: Findlay, OH (40 minutes from Toledo). Schedule Options: 1) Part-time or Full-time (2-5 days/week - 4hr, 8hr, 10hr, 12hr days) 2) Week On/Week Off (7am-7pm Mon-Thurs, 7am-5pm Fri, 4hr Sat). Flexible schedule and workweek, option of extended morning or evening hours. Diverse spectrum of interesting and complex patients. Ability to choose patient mix and practice at top of license. Weekly onsite CME, and CME/grand rounds available through Mayo Clinic Care Network. 24-hour in-house hospitalist services. Option to teach medical students and advanced practice trainees. Full complement of medical and surgical specialties available for support. State-of-the-Art Surgical and Inpatient Facilities and Technology. New visits average 40 minutes and follow-ups 20. Physicians see 2 patients per hour (18 per day), starting with mostly new patients in the first month and transitioning to a balanced mix by month three.
