Estimator For Steel Erection Projects

HCS is currently seeking an Estimator for Steel Erection Projects. The Estimator will be responsible for Estimating and Pre-Construction for a large variety of commercial and industrial structural steel projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Estimating and quantity take-offs
  • Preparing and managing bid packages
  • Scheduling
  • Cost control
  • Managing RFI
  • Subcontractor management
  • Client relations
  • Procurement
  • Bid analysis and quality control

Requirements include:

  • 1+ years' structural steel or miscellaneous metal estimating project experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Architecture preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word
  • Experience with Bluebeam or relevant estimating software a plus
  • Experience with Fabtrol or Fabsuite a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a team environment
