Center Director (Oneonta - River St)

Center Director Head Start ( is seeking a creative, organized individual to lead a preschool teaching team and oversee operations of a multi-classroom center. As Center Director you will:

• Hire, train, supervise and evaluate assigned center staff

• Ensure compliance with licensing requirements and Head Start Program Performance Standard

• Facilitate communication and teamwork at the center

• Collaborate with the Head Start management team, program specialists, parents, and other community partners

• Schedule staff, volunteers, and bus routes

• Supervise students and volunteers

This position has school breaks and summers off.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, or a related field; two years teaching experience; two years supervisory experience; valid, unrestricted New York State driver's license.
