Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its Hilo, Hawaii office. The candidate must reside in the state of Hawaii and will be responsible for handling various legal duties, including court appearances and litigation tasks. Responsibilities Prepare and attend court appearances within reasonable travel distance. Request and manage court coverage placements as needed. Draft, review, and file mid-litigation motions and responses. Prepare for trials and arbitrations, which may require overnight travel. Communicate with consumers, employers, and attorneys to resolve accounts and suits. Requirements Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Hawaii. Additional licensing in other states is welcomed. Ability to appear in court on time using personal transportation. Willingness to travel, with reimbursement for approved expenses. Strong multi-tasking, verbal, and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Hawaii.
