Registered Nurse - PACU

Schedule

8H Day, 0700-1530, Monday-Friday

Assignment Details

Guaranteed Hours: 72 Hours Biweekly
Contract Weeks: 13

Requirements

• Current MA license in nursing (BSN required, MSN in education or CNS preferred)
• BLS/ACLS certification from AHA
• BLS and ACLS instructor certification required prior to start
• 3-5 years of experience, critical care experience preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibilities as educator, consultant, researcher, facilitator, role model, mentor, and leader in the acute care setting
• Assess staff educational needs and plan, coordinate, conduct, and evaluate programs such as orientation and educational offerings
• Promote adult learning, improved patient outcomes, and professional development
• Implement educational activities within the framework of the Nursing Division's philosophy, goals, and objectives
• Pass testing prior to offer acceptance including dysrhythmia and medications tests
