School Nurse (LPN)

Kelly Pediatric Therapy is seeking a School Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing services for a local school district.

• This is a 1099 Independent contracting position, allowing for greater flexibility.
• Kelly Pediatric Therapy provides consistent on-site and off-site mentorship with Clinical Directors and Team Leaders.
• School-Based Academy: We provide the support and community that a new School-Based therapist needs to feel comfortable and to be successful.
• Lending Library: Kelly Pediatric Therapy recognizes the additional expenses in providing evaluation for materials. We have an extensive library of testing tools and assessments for therapist to borrow as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide school health nurse services and primary care services to students
• Evaluate and treat individual physical conditions of students and refer to appropriate resources as needed
• Conduct health assessments (history, screenings, findings)
• Provide instruction in the maintenance of good health and disease prevention
• Promote and assist in the control of communicable diseases
• Interpret health status of students to parents and school personnel
• Maintain student health data/files
• Monitor compliance of school health program with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies
• Assist with mandated reports to the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE)

Qualifications:

• LPN State License
• Valid PA certificate as a School Nurse
• Child Abuse, State, and Federal Clearances
