We are seeking an Auto Safety Inspector to join our team. You will be responsible for inspecting vehicles to ensure they meet applicable safety standards and regulations. This position involves examining vehicle components, identifying safety defects, documenting inspection results, and communicating required repairs or compliance issues to vehicle owners, technicians, or management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections of cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles.
• Examine brakes, tires, steering, suspension, lights, exhaust systems, seat belts, windshield, and other safety-related components.
• Identify mechanical or safety defects that may make a vehicle unsafe or non-compliant.
• Perform inspections in accordance with state regulations.
• Use inspection equipment and diagnostic tools as required.
• Accurately record inspection findings and maintain inspection documentation.

Qualifications

• Current Vehicle Inspector Certificate (State of California)
• Automotive repair or inspection experience preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle mechanical and safety systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential safety hazards.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
