Job Summary

Ultrasonographer General. This position performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations in an acute care setting, including general, abdominal, vascular, and obstetric studies. The role includes rotating eight-hour shifts, weekday scheduling, and rotating night, weekend, and holiday call coverage.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer—Abdomen (RDMS-AB) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS); American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS); ARMDS certification; breast certification; minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification.
• Schedule: Rotating eight-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, including weekday shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with rotating night, weekend, and holiday call coverage.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include general ultrasound; abdominal studies of the renal, liver, right upper quadrant, and spleen regions; vascular studies including carotid, femoral, peripheral vascular resistance, and venous reflux examinations; early obstetric studies; obstetric anatomy; biophysical profiles; and transvaginal examinations. The expected workload is approximately 12–14 studies per day. The position supports diagnostic imaging services and does not require intravenous starts.
