Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position with a block scheduling of nights: 3 PM to 3:30 AM. The work schedule consists of 3 days on followed by 2 days off, then 2 days on followed by 3 days off. There is no call and no floating required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to provide comprehensive laboratory services, including Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Blood Bank, and Gram Stains. The role requires a strong attention to detail, exceptional technical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests in accordance with established protocols and quality standards.
• Analyze and interpret laboratory data accurately.
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper functioning.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care.
• Document and report results in a timely manner using MEDHOST/AS-400 EMR.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current certification as an MLT (ASCP) or MLT (AMT) or MLS (ASCP) or MLS (AMT).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Proficiency in operating Sysmex XN-1000, Siemens CA-660, Siemens Dimension EXL, Ortho manual gel, and Sofia.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
