Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and mechanically inclined Shop Helper to join our team. This position involves working in the assembly and finishing department, focusing on detailed bench work tasks. You will be responsible for installing small pins into holes using specialized machinery and utilizing various tools and techniques on aluminum and stainless steel materials.

Responsibilities

• Work in the assembly/finishing department, installing small 1/8 inch pins into small holes using a small machine.
• Use graining techniques to finish metals, ensuring that all grains are in the same direction.
• Straighten out aluminum parts, maintaining precision within +/- thousandths of an inch.
• Apply honing techniques to finish aluminum parts.
• Insert stainless steel threaded materials into aluminum blocks.
• Place metal parts into a tumbler for a smooth finish.
• Maintain a clean and safe work space.

• Mechanical aptitude.
• Attention to detail.
• Experience in a machine shop or similar environment.

• Finishing or deburring experience is advantageous, though not necessary as training will be provided.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
• Willingness to learn how to properly finish machined parts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Positive attendance track record.

Work Environment

This position operates within a machine shop environment, featuring approximately 20 CNC machines and a team of 13 employees on the floor, with a total of 20 in the facility. Work hours are from 7:00am to 3:30pm, with potential shifts from 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime when needed. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Souderton, PA.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Souderton,PA.
