Data Manager Overview This position supports the overall operations of the Cooperative Extension Department by managing data tracking and reporting activities, utilizing the Extension Reporting System (ERS), and assisting with the preparation of annual reports as well as ongoing reporting requirements across Cooperative Extension programs and initiatives. Cooperative Extension at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is an educational outreach organization that provides research‑based educational information, programming, and technical assistance to diverse audiences across four programmatic areas: Agriculture and Natural Resources, Family and Consumer Sciences, Community and Rural Development, and 4-H Youth Development. Responsibilities • Manage data tracking and reporting activities using ERS • Assist in preparing annual and ongoing reports for Cooperative Extension programs • Collaborate with program staff to ensure timely and accurate reporting • Provide support for quantitative and qualitative evaluation techniques as needed Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree from an accredited university in a field related to this position’s duties, such as evaluation education, data management, statistics, measurement, or extension education. Demonstrated experience in data management. Demonstrated skills in program reporting. Experience with quantitative and qualitative evaluation techniques. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, database management programs, and reporting systems. Work Location On‑site. Employees are primarily in the office and/or have a critical job requirement that requires dedicated office space on‑site.
