Bonus amount is determined based on experience and will be discussed during the hiring process. Position Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care to residents within the scope of practice defined by the South Dakota Board of Nursing and facility policies. The LPN assists in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plans, ensures accurate documentation, and promotes the physical and emotional well-being of all residents. This position collaborates closely with the Nurse Manager, residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff to deliver safe and compassionate care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide daily nursing care and supervision to residents following the established plan of care. Administer medications and treatments accurately, documenting per facility protocol. Observe and record changes in residents’ conditions, promptly reporting to the Nurse Manager and physician as needed. Participate in care plan development and revision based on resident assessments and goals. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate, up-to-date resident medical records and documentation. Assist in orientation and mentoring of new nursing staff and caregivers. Promote compliance with infection control and safety policies. Attend staff meetings, in-service training, and assigned committees. Uphold confidentiality and residents’ rights in all interactions. Be physically and mentally capable of performing all essential job functions. Possess strong communication, organization, and clinical nursing skills . Be willing to work flexible hours, handle stressful or emotional situations, and comply with facility standards and regulations.
