RN Clinical Manager - Operating Room (Evening Shift)

A leading Houston healthcare organization is seeking an experienced RN Clinical Manager to oversee evening and overnight Operating Room operations. This role leads multidisciplinary surgical teams across specialties like neurology, orthopedics, plastics, and ENT, while driving staffing, performance, and process improvements in collaboration with physicians and leadership.

Schedule: Full-time evening shift (typically 1:00 PM 10:00 PM, based on needs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct daily operations of the operating room, ensuring appropriate staffing and workflow efficiency
• Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing and support staff across multiple shifts
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support clinical excellence and patient outcomes
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and departmental planning
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and nursing board requirements
• Provide hands-on clinical support as needed, including serving in a charge nurse capacity
• Manage staffing schedules, recruitment efforts, and employee performance evaluations
• Promote a culture of patient-centered care, safety, and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Texas (or compact license) in good standing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of acute care operating room experience
• At least 3 years of current OR leadership or management experience
• Ability to work full-time evening/night shifts exclusively

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification in a clinical specialty or leadership
