Job Summary

The Equipment Maintenance Technician III is responsible for performing advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on complex manufacturing and testing equipment. This technician ensures equipment uptime, reliability, and performance through both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities. The role requires strong analytical and technical skills to identify root causes and implement long-term solutions in a high-tech environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis on down equipment with minimal supervision.
2. Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on various types of high-tech machinery and systems.
3. Develop and recommend solutions for recurring equipment failures or performance deficiencies.
4. Carry out preventive maintenance (PM) activities in accordance with specifications and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain accurate, detailed records of repairs, adjustments, and part replacements.
6. Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
7. Continuously enhance technical skills through formal training and hands-on problem-solving.
8. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure optimal equipment performance.
9. Support both routine and non-routine assignments that may involve judgment and independent analysis.

Required Qualifications

1. Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Certification from a vocational or trade school in computer technology, hardware/software maintenance, or a similar discipline.
3. Minimum of 5–7 years of hands-on experience maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting complex equipment.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
5. Strong mechanical, electro-mechanical, and hardware/software troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience working with Hard Disk Drive Clean Room Tooling and Test Equipment.
2. Expertise in software log analysis and resolving software-related equipment faults.
3. Background in high-volume or cleanroom manufacturing environments.

Certifications (if any)

1. T echnical certifications related to electronics, mechanics, or industrial equipment maintenance are a plus.
