Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides professional nursing care to labor and delivery patients, ensuring compliance with established standards. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal maternal and neonatal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor maternal and fetal health throughout labor and delivery.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in medical records.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed team members.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance activities.

Qualifications:

• Valid Washington state RN license or active license application.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Knowledge of OB-specific workflows, equipment, and protocols.
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to floating requirements.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
