Registered Nurse (S)Murdoch is currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse located in the Alpine. Alpine Cottage serves an adult population. Typically, people served in this area are non-ambulatory, non-mobile with severe/profound intellectual/developmental disabilities requiring 24-hour-a-day licensed nursing care. Emphasis throughout the day is placed on gross motor activities, basic self-help skills, increased communication skills, and health care needs. Medical concerns include seizure disorders, gastrointestinal problems, neurogenic bladders, and chronic respiratory issues. All employees of Murdoch Center are designated as ESSENTIAL for adverse weather and emergency events.The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina or in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.Successful candidate must be able to pass Healthcare Provider CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) written and physical requirements as a condition of employment.
