As McConway is the original designers of the first standard automatic coupler, continued innovation and craftsmanship have led to a product line that includes every AAR approved coupler as well as custom coupler solutions, which are all proudly cast in the US.We are actively seeking a Machine Shop Manager to support our machining operations in McKees Rocks. In this position, you will own the performance and the economics of the axle and circular machine shop - utilization, quality, schedule, on-time delivery and the controllable cost that sits underneath them. Some of your responsibilities will include:Owning the shops contribution margin – P&LManaging direct and indirect labor hours and VOH costDriving more effective equipment utilizationCoaching, training, and leading a team of machinistsImproving quality, reducing rework and leading in-process inspection disciplineBuilding and holding the product inventoryLeading machining continuous improvementAs a leader, your success will be determined by your ability to improve efficiencies in our machining processes.
